Back to school brings so many opportunities. How can we find opportunities to connect inside our academic institutions? How do we find areas of growth? How do we determine our progress?

Below, we listed questions to help identify areas where we are challenged at the start of another school year. How does that relate to our ability to connect with others?

Take a moment to reflect on your conversations. How do your conversations about back-to-school impact your connections with others?

Where can you find common ground and understanding? What can you learn?

• Family/Kids: What does back-to-school time look like for your family? What is missing, and how can you make changes to connect in ways you currently don't?

• Personal /Self - Reflect on your years in school. What did you leave school with in terms of learning how to connect with others?

• Clients/students - How does going back to school impact your students or clients? Where does the shift from summer to fall impact them the most?

• Work/professional—How does returning to school impact your work routine? Where do you see it affect your colleagues?

• Nature—How does nature play a role in the shift back to school? What can you learn from it?

• Community/online networks—How does back to school allow you to expand your network? How are your networks impacted when discussing back to school?
