Losing sight of what matters can be easy as we go through our busy days. This term gets thrown around often, but self-love is complicated. It's the relationship we ignore, neglect, or struggle with the most. Our relationship with ourselves can be the most potent relationship we nurture.

The questions below help us reflect on where our connections can enhance our relationship with ourselves.

Take a moment and reflect on what you tell yourself every day. What type of micro rah-rah sessions do you share with yourself every day? When do they show up, and where do they lack?

How do these mini pump-up sessions in our minds impact the connections we have with others?

• Family/Kids: What do you tell yourself about the people who love you most? Does it align with what they would say to you as well?

• Personal /Self: When things don't go as they should, what is the first comment inside your head? Is it negative or positive? Could it be improved or polished?

• Clients/students - How does what you tell others align with what you say to yourself? Is there anything missing?

• Work/professional—In what ways does your professional life impact how you speak to yourself?

• Nature—What does nature do to your mind? Does nature calm your mind or energize it? or both?

• Community/online networks—How do your networks impact your inner voice? Where do you see areas for growth or change? Where do you find support for your inner critic from your personal or public networks?
